Device requirements
Wisply requires macOS 26, iOS 26, or iPadOS 26 or later. The optional Apple Watch companion requires watchOS 26 or later and a paired iPhone.
Local AI summaries and chat need compatible hardware with Apple Intelligence enabled. Speech transcription has its own language and model requirements. Leave room for downloaded models and your recordings.

Allow microphone access to record your voice.
On Mac, recording audio from another app needs the relevant system audio permission. Optional Screen Understanding asks you to choose and confirm a window or display for each session.
Accessibility access is only needed for optional automatic typing into another app in builds that support it. Keyboard shortcuts don't require it.
Before you record
Complete any model downloads the app requests, then make a short test recording. Check that your microphone and, on Mac, the selected system audio source are captured. Get permission to record where required.
Core transcription runs on your device. Optional sync and cloud AI share data when enabled; cloud AI requires your consent. Usage and diagnostic analytics are enabled by default. Review the app's settings and privacy policy.
